Quotes

This is a collection of quotes that I find interesting for one reason or another; whether they be funny, thought provoking, weird, or random. This page is a work in progress, and whenever I stumble across quotes I feel are worthy to be included, I will add them. Feel free to take them for your own use, but if you do use any of them please give credit to the author(s) of the quote(s) you choose to borrow, because nobody likes a thief.

The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops.

~A. Bartlett Giamatti (on baseball)

Nothing is better than the theater of the mind whilst reading a good book.

~Adam Shaw
